Arisha's party was a double celebration with his cousin Jumer Clark's 2nd birthday. Jumer's mom is hubby's elder sister and since she is in abroad, we took care of all the preparations and decided on doing his party on Arisha's day.
Organizing their party was pretty difficult. Preparation is in Manila for the party in Nueva Vizcaya. So I had to coordinate most of the time with my mom and my mom-in-law. The lolas were good actually. They made things happen.
A day before the party, hubby and I have been driving around just to find the one and only clown that we have in town. Alas, we didn't find him.
Few hours before the party was about to begin, we were already feeling the threat of 'Halong'. It made me worried sick that there may be no guests arriving.
But'Halong' wasn't strong enough to stop our guests from coming. Despite the strong rains and the rising flood, we still counted a total of 140 guests. And as most of the elders in our hometown says, a storm on Arisha's birthday could mean more blessings in her life. I have to believe that because the number of people who shared that special day with my daughter and her cousin is one big proof of how special she is to everyone who came.
